Our studio is unique because our classes are based on the principle that learning the arts should be a FUN experience! We teach with enthusiasm and make our classes exciting and challenging for everyone.

Our children's classes are unlike any other classes offered in the Tidewater area! Our ALL Inclusive Performing Arts Program encompasses several styles of dance, singing, acting and musical theater for One Low Price. This type of curriculum provides our students with the opportunity to explore, discover and develop ALL of their many different talents! Our students learn a wide variety of skills, while having fun in a positive and supportive environment.

Our Kiddie Combo Class for children ages 3 - 4 is a fun-filled combination of dance, music and theater. Activities include stretches, center technique, across the floor exercises, balance beam, singing, role play, and a variety of dance and movement games. Students learn routines in various styles of dance (ballet, hip-hop, jazz and creative movement).

This class improves students' motor skills, coordination and flexibility. Students learn how to express their emotions and ideas creatively through movement, which contributes to their healthy physical and emotional development. This class provides young children with an opportunity to make friends and develop healthy socialization skills. It is also a fun way to introduce pre-school age children to a structured learning environment. Kiddie Combo students will perform an adorable song and dance in our musical production in June.

Our beginning level children's classes, for ages 5 through 11, are a unique combination of dance, singing, acting and musical theater.

The styles of dance taught include ballet, jazz, hip-hop and tap. In the dance portion of the class, students participate in a wide variety of activities to develop coordination, balance, flexibility, proper body alignment and technique. Some of these activities include stretching, balance beam, center exercises and across the floor technique.Throughout the year, students learn dance routines in each different style of dance.

In the musical theater portion of the class, students learn music and theater fundamentals, and participate in various activities, such as role play, improvisation, character development and script writing.

Students get the opportunity during class to dance, sing and act on our very own studio stage, with special effect lighting, so they really feel like superstars in the spotlight!

We also include fun activities, such as freeze dance, obstacle courses and creative theater games to motivate and educate our students in exciting ways.

All students in our beginning level children's classes get the opportunity to perform 3 dance routines, as well as sing and act, in our June musical production.

We also offer an advanced level program for children ages 7 and up, who have previous dance experience. Please see our "Performing Company" class description below.

Our teen class includes instruction in hip-hop, breakdancing, jazz, ballet and contemporary styles of dance. Students participate in stretches, warm ups, center technique and across the floor exercises. A variety of techniques are taught, including turns, leaps, footwork (slides, glides, etc.), top rocks, popping and locking, body rolls, isolations and much more.

Teen students learn routines in various styles of dance (hip-hop, jazz and lyrical / contemporary). Teen students will perform 2 dance routines in our June musical production.

This class is geared towards students ages 12 and up. Teens will have fun and gain confidence, while learning in a pressure free environment. We also offer an all inclusive, advanced level Performing Arts Program for teens with previous dance experience. Please see our "Performing Company" class description below.

ATTITUDZ offers adult classes for all levels of experience in a fun, friendly and supportive environment.

Our Adult Combo Class includes instruction in hip-hop, breakdancing, jazz, ballet and contemporary styles of dance. During class, there is a group stretch and warm up, followed by center technique and across the floor exercises. Students learn a variety of techniques, such as turns, leaps, footwork (slides, glides, etc.), top rocks, popping and locking, body rolls, isolations and much more.

Adult Combo students learn routines in various styles of dance, including hip-hop, jazz and contemporary. There is also a short work out during class that includes a combination of ab, arm and leg toning exercises.

Taking classes at ATTITUDZ is a wonderful way for busy adults to stay in shape, make new friends and develop their talents in many different styles of dance.

ATTITUDZ also has a Performing Company team for adults with previous dance experience, who are interested in performing and competing.

ATTITUDZ offers an advanced level curriculum for students who are seriously pursuing the arts. Company classes include training in ballet, jazz, hip-hop, tap, breakdancing and lyrical / contemporary. Company classes also include singing, acting and musical theater. Performing Company members perform at various community events, such as parades, sporting events,festivals and more. In addition, Company members receive all of the leading roles in our musical production in June.

Our Performing Company members have been featured in music videos and commercials, performed at concerts with major recording artists, won grand championships at state wide competitions and have traveled to New York and Los Angeles to work with celebrity choreographers. Several of our Company members have received contracts from major producers and directors and are well on their way to successful careers in the music, dance and film industry!

Our Performing Company consists of girls and boys ages 7 through adult. Students must be evaluated and invited to join our prestigious Performing Company. Selection is based on talent, leadership, dedication and attitude.
